# GuruWatcher

> GuruWatcher is a $99 one-time, self-hosted tool that watches concrete price levels from newsletters and sources you provide, then sends alerts to your Discord. It runs on your computer, never places orders, and is not investment advice.

- **Not Watcher Guru / watcher.guru.** GuruWatcher (guruwatcher.com) is a different product and is not affiliated with watcher.guru.
- Kit: **v0.1.8** — macOS notarized Developer ID DMG (Apple Silicon); Windows Authenticode-signed portable zip (SmartScreen may still warn once for a new publisher). Source zip needs Python 3.10+.
- Access: buy → Stripe redirects you back → **download the app immediately** on the thank-you page (macOS DMG / Windows portable zip / source zip; it auto-picks for your machine). A **GitHub repo invite is optional** on request (support@guruwatcher.com); the download is the primary path.
- **Release artifacts are Stripe-gated.** The GitHub repo may exist and may be invite-only, but the release DMG/zip artifacts are only downloadable after a paid checkout — there is **no public free clone of the paid kit** and no free trial download. Purchase gates delivery.
- **Alert-only**: never places orders, not a broker, not a signal room, not investment advice. BYO Discord webhook and BYO sources.
- **No redistribution**: does not resell or redistribute Macro Charts or any paid newsletter content; you keep content rights for what you bring in.
- Runs locally: Linux, macOS, Windows. Packaged apps — macOS (Apple Silicon DMG, notarized Developer ID) and Windows (portable zip, Authenticode-signed via Azure Artifact Signing; SmartScreen may still warn once for a new publisher) — need no Python install and keep running from a tray icon; the source zip / CLI needs Python 3.10+. ## What it does

- Runs on your computer: open the app (or double-click the source launcher) and a Control Panel opens in your browser (no terminal typing). Load sample, run once (safe/live), keep checking, drop-inbox list/delete, clear webhook.
- Connects sources you provide: email, RSS, Telegram, or files you drop in.
- Arms concrete prices **printed in your sources** (printed numbers only). A newer newsletter update replaces an older level (most-recent-wins). It does not invent levels.
- Pings your own Discord webhook when a watched level is hit.
- Keep checking defaults (Control Panel): prices about every **5 minutes**, email about every **15 minutes** — both editable. Off = no lookups = no Discord.

It does not place orders, does not redistribute paid newsletters (e.g. Macro Charts), does not invent price levels (printed numbers only; most-recent-wins), and does not guarantee alpha. Alerts are not trade instructions; the decision to act stays with the user. Keep checking defaults: prices ~5 min / email ~15 min.
