First run with a sample

Why a sample

The Control Panel’s Load sample fills a synthetic SPY/QQQ issue — invented numbers, not paid-newsletter text — so you can watch GuruWatcher pick up the prices and check them once, all without a webhook and without touching your real email.

Run it

1. Open the Control Panel — see the Open the Control Panel guide.
2. Open One-time paste.
3. Click Load sample — this fills the paste box with the invented issue.
4. Click Run once (safe).
5. Watch GuruWatcher pick up the sample prices and check them once.

Run once (safe) checks prices one time and does not post to Discord. Quiet keeps checking on a timer, still without posting, until you choose Live with a saved webhook. Quiet mode posts nothing to Discord — there is no webhook involved.

After the sample

• Connect a Discord webhook and switch to Live in Keep checking for real alerts.
• Connect email auto-ingest so you don’t paste every issue.
• Or just keep pasting / dropping your own issues in One-time paste.

The demo pack (optional)

The same proof ships as a one-command script in the release folder: demos/first-hour/run.sh (Windows: demos\first-hour\run.ps1). It runs init → ingest → reconcile → check against a temp data dir — no webhook, no Docker, no network required.
